Public Review Draft 

On May 19, 2023, the City of Scotts Valley published the Public Review Draft of the 2023-2031 Housing Element. The Public Review Draft will be available for review and comment through June 19, 2023. Additional information can be found here.

Community Workshop No. 2

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the City of Scotts Valley hosted a second community workshop for interested parties to learn about the Public Review Draft and how questions and comments can be provided on the Draft. Joint City Council/Planning Commission Study Session

On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the City Council and Planning Commission conducted a joint study session on strategies to address the 6th Cycle RHNA.  The discussion reviewed the following strategies and topics: projects in the entitlement pipeline, projected ADU development, existing zoning capacity, opportunity areas, and potential zoning code amendments. Informational Presentation - City Council 

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the City of Scotts Valley and Kimley-Horn provided an informational update on the Housing Element process to the City Council.  The presentation included an overview of the Housing Element process, a discussion on RHNA, site selection process and potential strategies, the role of community engagement, and a discussion of next steps.  You can find the PowerPoint, city council agenda, presentation recording below:

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, the City of Scotts Valley and Kimley-Horn hosted a Community Workshop via Zoom on the 2024-2031 Housing Element Update process. The meeting provided an overview on the Housing Element Update process, information on the City's Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) allocation, and next steps.
